Delete Your Data or Account

This page explains how to delete some of your data (while keeping your account), or your entire account, in Circl1 (operated by Beacon Frontier, Gurugram, Haryana, India) — and exactly what is deleted and what is kept.

Delete some of your data (keep your account)

You can delete specific data at any time from inside the app, without deleting your account:

• Remove titles from your lists, and clear watch status or ratings.
• Delete comments you've posted and unsend direct messages you've sent.
• Remove a connection, or delete a circle you created.
• Change your display name or profile photo in Profile.

To request deletion of any other specific data, email support@circl1.com from your account's email address, describing what you'd like removed. We'll verify and action it within 30 days.

Delete your entire account

Option 1 — In the app (immediate)

1. Open the Circl1 app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm. Your account and associated data are deleted straight away — this cannot be undone.

Option 2 — By email

If you can't access the app, email support@circl1.com from the email address associated with your Circl1 account, with the subject "Delete my account." We will verify the request and delete your account within 30 days, and confirm when it's done.

What is deleted when you delete your account

We permanently remove your personal data from our live systems, including:

• Your account and sign-in (email address and the Apple / Google / magic-link sign-in method).
• Your profile — display name, profile photo, and your invite/connection code.
• Your connections and the circles you placed people in (your social graph).
• Your content — titles and lists, watch status and ratings, reactions, and comments.
• Your direct messages.
• Your push-notification token and device platform.
• Records of users you blocked or content you reported that are tied to your account.

What is kept, and for how long

• Backups: residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days of deletion.
• Legal records: a limited set of records may be retained only where required to comply with law or to resolve disputes, and are deleted once no longer needed.
• Analytics: aggregate, privacy-minimised usage analytics that do not identify you may be retained; these contain no personal identifiers, message content, or the identities of other users.
